2026 Calendar - Rules & Requirements

Due to designating a lot of time to get the website updated, there will be no 2025 Calendar Contest this year. The contest will return in Aug/Sept 2025 for our 2026 Calendar.

CONTEST PHOTOS: Can be submitted starting September 7th and will not be accepted after the voting starts.
CONTEST VOTING STARTS: October 5th
CONTEST VOTING ENDS: November 1st @ 11:59pm ET

*The public can vote for multiple vehicles each day.  They must wait 24 hours before they can vote for the same vehicle(s) again.  You do not have to be a member of EVOCHQ.com to vote.

PHOTO RULES (Please Read Carefully):

  1. In order to submit an Emergency Vehicle to the calendar, you must be a member of EVOCHQ.com.  Registration is free, simple and fast.
  2. Only ONE PHOTO PER CAR. If you have a photo you would like to use with multiple vehicles, you can submit that picture.  For all of those vehicles in that photo, that will count as one photo per car for each of those vehicles.
  3. Each member can submit no more than two (2) photos.  Group shots are encouraged if you own multiple cars and want to submit more than two vehicles.
  4. You must be the CURRENT OWNER of the vehicle that you are submitting a photo of.  If you are submitting a photo with multiple vehicles, you must be the current owner of at least one and have permission from the other owner(s) to submit on their behalf prior to submitting the photo.  If you are not the current owner, it must be owned by a state, agency or organization and you must have permission to submit on their behalf.
  5. You must have taken the photo or have permission to use the photo that you are submitting. If the photo was professionally taken, they will receive credit in the calendar.
  6. When submitting your final photo into the contest, your photo must be high-resolution and able to be used for print. Recommended Minimum: 2550px (pixels) tall by 3300px wide.  The higher the resolution, the higher the print quality. Low end camera phones will not allow the quality needed. High end camera phones may meet those requirements depending on your photo settings. 4:3 ratio photos will likely work best, so if using your camera phone, please adjust accordingly.  If you are unsure how to check your photo quality, please contact the Administrator.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be able to be categorized in one of the following Condition categories
    • Restored - Original Agency (Stock)
    • Restored - Clone of Agency (Stock)
    • Restored - Not Upfitted
    • Unrestored Original
  2. Must be able to be categorized in one of the following Ownership categories
    • Privately Owned
    • State or Agency Owned
    • Museum Owned
  3. For this calendar, there will be a minimum vehicle age requirement of 15 years old from the time of contest.  If your vehicle meets this requirement and you want to submit a photo that features a newer vehicle (such as an in-service vehicle), this is allowed.  For the 2025 Calendar (taking place in 2024), no vehicle newer than 2009 can be submitted.

ASSIGNING THE CALENDAR LOCATION:

  1. The placement of each vehicle in the calendar will be the choice of the administrator.  This will be to help avoid multiple agencies or similar color schemes in back to back months. This will also help with seasonal photos being placed in the proper months.
  2. Front and Back Covers - The administrator will decide which photos will be used for the front and rear covers.  These photos may or may not be one of the top 12 photos in the contest.
  3. We may attempt to feature additional "honorable mentions" (vehicles that may not have won one of the top 12 spots).  We will do our best to put in as many emergency vehicles as possible.
